Harvest 2011/12

Harvest was commenced on Thursday 1st December in Douglas's.  The barley yielded a little over 15 bags per acre. The quailty was mixed with 44 % making malting grade but the remainder was down graded to Feed due to low protein.

The wheat on in the School Paddock and on the Home Block yielded a little under 18 bags per acre overall.  The quality was again mixed with the majority (70%) only making ASW with protein around 10%. The remaining 30% made APW  with protein greater than 10.5%.

 The harvest concluded on Tuesday 6th having completed the 900 or so acres in 6 days.
